In March 2014 we held an exciting symposium examining the ethical challenges of working with visual methodologies. Contributors considered the particular methodological and ethical issues in the practice of using visual methods; these included research design and methods specific to visual research, participant engagement in the research process, presentation and dissemination of visual images, as well as working with research ethics committees.
